History


The Decoration for Members of the National Assembly was instituted by decree on July 12, 1792.

The Decoration was worn by members of the National Assembly during all meetings. By the decree of August 22, 1792, the Decoration was forbidden to be worn outside of any official setting.

The obverse inscription translates to "The Rights Of Man, Constitution."

The Decoration for Members of the National Assembly is translated from the French "Decoration des Membres de l'Assemblee Nationale."
