History


The Medal of Honour for Colonial Prison Administration was awarded by the Minister of Colonies to workers in colonial penitentiaries for more than 20 years of service. A maximum of 20 Medals were awarded annually.

It is uncertain when this medal ceased to awarded.

The obverse inscription translates to “French Republic,” and the reverse inscription translates to “Honour and Discipline, Ministry of Colonies.”
