The Long and Faithful Service Cross was founded by Duke Friedrich I and was conferred upon female maidservants who worked uninterruptedly for a single family over the course of many years. In order to qualify for the award, a maidservant had to be a citizen of Anhalt and had to have demonstrated impeccable moral leadership throughout their career.
The Silver Cross was awarded for 25 years of service. The Cross would be worn around the neck.
On the Silver Cross, the crown is always in gilt.
