A rectangular bar constructed of blackened iron on a green ribbon bar with black stripes. The bar features a central Roman numeral "IX" within the inscription "ALEX CARL".

History


The Long Service Bar was established in March 24, 1847 by Duke Alexander Carl. The bar was awarded to Non-Commissioned Officers, military surgeons, members of the police force, and Enlisted Men. The III Class Bar was awarded to those who who rendered 9 years of military service. The awarding of the Long Service Bar ended on May 8, 1864.

A total of 86 III Class Bars were awarded.
