Estimated market value:
This Long Service Cross for Domestic Servants was instituted on February 16, 1876, by Grand Duchess Louise and it was conferred upon female servants to recognise long and faithful service.
In order to qualify for the award, a female domestic servant had to render 25, 40, or 50 years of irreproachable service with the same employer. In 1905, the Cross for 60 Years introduced as a grade.
In 1920, the design of the cross was changed and it was reduced to a single grade.
