Physical Description


A circular medal constructed of silver. The obverse bears the leftward-facing profile of Prince Regent Luitpold, circumscribed by name and title. The reverse with an inscription of “DER PROTEKTOR DEM LANDWIRTSCHAFTL. VEREIN IN BAYERN, ZUR HUNDERT-JAHRFEIER 1810-1910” (the patron of the agricultural association in Bavaria, to its hundredth anniversary). On a loop for suspension.

History


The Agricultural Jubilee Medal was established by Prince Regent Luitpold on September 16, 1910 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Bavarian Agricultural Association. The medal is in three classes: gold, silver, and bronze. It was awarded on the anniversary day.

The Silver Medal was reserved for members of the Agricultural Society and the chairman of the Price Commission.
