Physical Description


A Rupert cross constructed of bronze. The obverse bears a central medallion with a crowned Bavarian lion within an oak leaf wreath. The reverse bears a central medallion with the date "1866" within an oak leaf wreath. On a loop for suspension with a light blue and white striped ribbon.

History


This cross was established by King Ludwig II. It was conferred to recognize participation in the 1866 Austro-Prussian War.
