Physical Description


A Leopold cross constructed of tombac gilt. The arms of the cross are ribbed. The obverse bears a circular medallion with a shield with Bavarian lozenges on it. The reverse centre bears a shield with the inscription "XV" (15), on a pebbled backround. With a loop for suspension on a light blue ribbon with white stripes.

History


The Military Long Service Cross and Medal was issued under Prince Regent Luitpold on August 30, 1913. It was awarded in recognition of long and faithful military service.

The I Class Cross was awarded for 15 years of service.
