History


The Medal was instituted by Grand Duke Adolf Friedrich V and was conferred upon individuals who had rendered exceptional service that benefited not only the Grand Ducal House but the Grand Duchy of Mecklenburg-Strelitz as a whole. It could also be conferred in recognition of praiseworthy deeds and merit in the workplace.

The Silver Medal was awarded to mid-ranking Officials and servants at Mecklenburg-Strelitz court. It was also conferred upon individuals who served at the courts of allied Houses.
