History

The Honour Medal for Private Industry, Labour, and Domestic Service was instituted by Prince Heinrich XXII (Senior Line) and was awarded to labourers, servants, and private industry employees who had rendered 30 years of distinguished service within their field.

The years began accumulating at the age of 25.

When the medal was awarded to women, it was worn on a black bow ribbon.

There are known examples of the medal that are composed of silver.
