History

The Silver Wedding Commemorative Decoration was instituted to commemorate the silver wedding anniversary of Prince Heinrich XXVII (Junior Line) and Princess Elise. It was awarded to all individuals who were officially involved with the celebrations.

There were differences in the form of the decoration and the manner in which it was worn, based on the rank and gender of the recipient.

The Decoration for Ladies features an additional surmounting crown that may or may not be enamelled. Ladies wore the decoration on a bow ribbon.
