History

The King Karl Jubilee Recognition Medal was founded by King Wilhelm II on November 2, 1920. It was awarded to individuals who had rendered long and faithful service to the King Karl Jubilee Foundation. The King Karl Jubilee Foundation was instituted on the 25th jubilee of King Karl’s reign, and its purpose was the support of small businesses, farms, and local industrial companies.

The circular silver medal presents the right-facing portrait of King Karl (Charles) on the obverse centre. It is circumscribed by the inscription "KOENIG KARL JUBILAEUMSTIFTUNG".

The reverse centre shows the inscription "FÜR LANGJÄHRIGE TREUE DIENSTE", surrounded by a wreath of oak leaves.
