Physical Description and Item Details


(Treudienst-Ehrenzeichen für Beamte Angestellte und Arbeiter im öffentlichen Dienst). Constructed of silvered bronze with black enamels, on loop for suspension from period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 46.5 mm (h) x 41 mm (w), in near extremely fine condition.

History


The Faithful Service Decoration was instituted by Adolf Hitler on January 30th, 1938, to reward public service employees for long and faithful service. The Decoration was conferred upon individuals who worked for the railway, post office, or in the civil service.

The II Class was conferred upon individuals who rendered 25 years of service.
