History

Cuff titles were similar to armbands, except often stating a more specific and specialised purpose of the wearer. They were significantly smaller than armbands, didn’t necessarily go all the way around the arm, and were worn on the lower part of the left sleeve.

HJ members acting as guards for a Gau leader at special events wore a black cuff title with the golden-yellow words “HJ Wache des Gauleiters”, with stripes at the top and bottom. This cuff title was local and semi-official.

HJ Wacheführer des Gauleiters (HJ Guard Leader of the Gau Leader) wore a red armband with the words in yellow. This was discontinued in 1934.
