History


The Medal was conferred in recognition of distinguished military service and the promotion of the Hungarian Armed Forces.

The Type I medals do not feature any enamel, and solely depict the 1949-1956 emblem of the Hungarian People's Republic on the obverse medallion. These medals were conferred upon 785 recipients.
