History


The Order was founded to recognize extraordinary merit within the promotion, spread, and defence of socialism within a wide range of cultural, economic, and political aspects of Hungary society.

This Order was originally instituted during the Hungarian People's Republic, and it was discontinued in 1991.

The II Class' ribbon features a crossed gold-coloured swords.
