History

The Good Conduct Medal was awarded from September 16, 1987, to January 30, 1990, to Non-Commissioned Officers and Privates in the Defence Forces for meritorious service and personal conduct. Only 120 medals were issued before the award was discontinued due to controversy regarding the eligibility criteria.

The Bronze Medal features an obverse inscription that translates to “Good Conduct Medal.” All officially-issued medals are named and numbered on the reverse.
