The Commemorative Medal for the Peace Conference in the Hague was established in commemoration of the Second Hague Convention in 1907. It was awarded to all those who took part in or contributed to the planning of the event.

There are three versions of the Silver Medal that differ in inscription according to the position of the recipient. In addition, there was one gold medal that struck for Tsar Nicolas II with the reverse inscription as follows: WILHELMINA NEERLANDIAE REGINA ALTISSIMO EXIMIO MAGNANIMO POTENTISSIMO AUCTORI CONVENTUUM PACIS NICOLAO II RUSSIAE IMPERATORI SALUTEM DAT. GRATIASQUE AGIT.
