History


The Lagos Diamond Jubilee Medal was instituted in 1897 in commemoration of Queen Victoria's 60th anniversary of the accession to the throne. The Silver Medal was presented to civil and military personnel who participated in the Diamond Jubilee celebrations in the Crown colony of Lagos.
