The National Fire Brigades Association Long Service Medal is awarded to fulltime professional Fire Brigade Officers for long and efficient service. The Medal is awarded in 2 grades. The Silver Medal is awarded in recognition of 20 years or more of service while the Bronze Medal is awarded for service less than 20 years.

The Medal is awarded with a clasp denoted the number of years of service.

The Medal also features the recipient's name, service details, and date of the award engraved on the rim.
