History

The Special Reserve Long Service and Good Conduct Medal was established by King Edward VII by Army Order in June of 1908. The Silver Medal was awarded to Non-Commissioned Officers and other ranks of the Special Reserve for service in 15 camps and 15 years of service with the Militia, Imperial Yeomanry or the Territorial and andVolunteer Forces. The Medal was superseded by the Efficiency Medal in 1930, but awards continued to be made until 1953. Approximately 1080 Medals were issued.
