The Ulster Defence Regiment Medal for Long Service and Good Conduct was established in 1982. The Silver Medal is awarded to members of the Ulster Defence Regiment in recognition of 15 years of exemplary service since April 1, 1970. Officers are also eligible for the Medal if they have served 12 out of 15 years in the ranks.
Clasps are available for award for additional 15 years of service.
