Good afternoon,
I have come across medals in my parents attic. Any info about what they are and their value would be appreciated.
Thank you kindly,
Alexandra
Hello Alexandra!
One is the Medal for the Russo-Japanese War 1904-1905. Here is a link: https://www.medalbook.com/russia/imperial-russia-1721-1917/medals-decorations/medal-for-the-russo-japanese-war // https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russo-Japanese_War_Medal. It looks like light bronze to me, but I only dabble in Russian items. Wouldn't say 100%.
Kaotik is correct. The other two: Mussolini's Visit to Berlin (can get high price! Is one on emedals $240), and other is Romanian 10th Anniversary of the Armed Forces Medal. This one ranges from $40-60 USD.
Wide assortment. Any military history in your familiy past?
Wow, thank you for the quick responses. The links were helpful.
No military family history that makes sense, but my grandparents enjoyed gathering unique knickknacks and whatnot - apparently they have ended up in together in my parents attics. Hopefully they will be appreciated by someone in the family.
If I come across anymore I will post them here.
Thanks again,
Alexandra
