History


HJ Leaders from the rank of Bannführer and upwards had their own car pennants. Adjutants of these Leaders or certain Staff members were also allowed to use these pennants when on official business.

The pennant of a Bann Leader had the same design as the regular HJ flag, however, it is square.
It has red, white, and red horizontal stripes and shows a features square field with a black swastika on point in the centre. Above the swastika is the word “Bann” and the Bann number, below is the location. Both is written in black Gothic letters.
