History

The Naval HJ service shirt was introduced in a regulation from 1934. It was worn by non-officer members as part of the undress uniform (Kleiner Dienstanzug) and the dress uniform (Großer Dienstanzug) during the summer months (April 15 to October 14). It was also worn by Hitler Youth War Auxiliaries of the Kriegsmarine.

It is a blue wool pullover shirt and was worn with a sailor’s collar and a black sailor’s scarf.
