History

In 1938, Officers of the SS-Standarte "Deutschland" were issued Army-pattern aiguillettes. The aiguillette could be worn with parade dress, walking-out dress, and formal evening wear. One end of the aiguillette was attached under the right shoulder board and the other end was attached to a button under the right lapel.
