History

The Badge for Shooting Down Low-Flying Aircraft was instituted on January 12, 1945, and was conferred upon military personnel who successfully shot down aircraft with small arms or light machine gun fire.

The II Class (Silver) was awarded for successfully shooting down one aircraft. The II Class (Silver) featured a black insignia.

It is unknown whether this award was produced and conferred during the Second World War.
