A Scarce Civilian Pilot's Badge by Juncker - In gilded bronze and enamels, 81mm (width), weighs 16.7 grams, marked on reverse “C.E. Juncker Berlin SW”, in slightly worn condition, without any enamel chipping, in extremely condition.

History


The Civil Pilot Badge was instituted by Hermann Göring on April 1, 1936, and it was conferred upon civilian aircrew members who worked for the government-controlled airline, Lufthansa.

Civilian pilots who worked as instructors for the early Luftwaffe were also eligible to receive the award.
