History

The Young Girl's Proficiency Clasp was conferred upon members of the Jungmädel, a youth organisation for girls age 10-14, for proficiency in physical fitness, home craft, and Nazi ideology. To receive this award, a girl had to pass a variety of test within the span of 12 months. The tests focused on nursing, first aid, Nazi ideology, and physical fitness.

The reverse of each clasp is numbered.

Only 58,000 Awards were issued.
