History

The Air Defence Forces Day Commemorative Medal was instituted between 1970 and 1973. The Medal is awarded to Air Defence personnel who served on Air Defence Forces day on June 30.

A brass device depicted an "SA-2" is authorized for wear on the ribbon when the ribbon is worn alone.
