History


The Medal for Devotion to Duty was instituted by King Ahmad Fuad I in 1920. The Medal is presented in 3 classes to reward distinguished services in maintaining public order. Police, majors, Sheikhs, civic guards, and other Ministry of the Interior personnel may be eligible for the award.

The Silver Medal is issued as the II Class award.

The Medal features a suspension bar engraved with the date and services recognized by the award.

Additional awards may be denoted by a clasp worn on the ribbon.
