History

The Police Effort (Koushesh) Award was established in 1950 to reward members of the Iranian police force for extraordinary accomplishments in law enforcement, devotion to duty, and public service. The award is presented as a Decoration in 3 Classes and as a Medal in 3 Classes. The award was made obsolete following the Islamic Revolution in 1979.

The I Class Decoration features the Persian date "1329 HS" (1950) on the obverse and a gold Pahlavi crown emblem authorized for wear on the ribbon.
