A badge constructed of silver and partially gold-plated with enamels, the reverse bears bears the maker mark ARTHUS BERTRAND / PARIS, on a blue sash with yellow trim.

History


The Order of Pahlavi was founded by Reza Shah in 1926 as the highest ranked Order during the Pahlavi era. The Order was presented in 2 Classes in recognition of civil merit. The Order was abolished in 1979 with the Islamic Revolution.

The I Class Grand Collar, composed of a Collar, Breast Star, and Sash Badge, was conferred upon Shahs, crown princes, reigning monarchs, and foreign heads of state.

The obverse features a depiction of Mount Damavand.
