History

The Order of Splendor (Nishan-i-Daraksh) was founded by HIM Muhammad Reza Shah on March 22, 1947. The Order was awarded in 3 Classes to officers of the police force in recognition of distinguished service provided to the force. Shahanshah Aryamehr is the Grand Master of the Order. It is uncertain if the Order still exists.

The III Class is composed of silver.

The III Class Decoration features a reverse Persian inscription of the class, name of the award, and date of the award's institution (1325 HS or 1946 AD).

The Decoration resembles the design of the Pahlavi crown.

It is believed that the Classes are also distinguished by the ribbon pattern, but more research is necessary.
