The Medal for the 1939-1945 War (Midalat al-Zarari al-Iradani Lasanat 1939-1945) was instituted by King Abdullah I in 1945. The Medal was awarded to military personnel in recognition of 6 months or more of service in military operations during the Second World War.

The reverse features script in Arabic which translates to "Abdullah Hussein King of Jordan" and "In Memory of World War II".
