Order of the Hero Mother (Baatyr Ene)
Estimated market value:
The Order of the Hero Mother (Baatyr Ene) was created by Presidential Law on April 16, 1996. The Order is modelled after Soviet awards which were created to promote large families to increase the population. The Order was originally presented to mothers who have fully raised 10 children, with the 10th and youngest child being 7 years of age. The Order was modified and expanded in 2007, to reward mothers for fully rearing 9 or more children, in 2008 to reward 8 or more children, and again in 2009, to reward 7 or more children. Mothers whose children have been recognized with the highest degree of distinction may also be eligible for the award.
The Star features a Cyrillic inscription on the obverse which translates to "Baatyr Ene."
