Physical Description and Item Details


A diamond shaped bronze medal, the obverse bears a red enamel drop of blood in the center encompassed on the left and right by laurel branches, above the blood drop is the Arabic inscription MY BLOOD FOR MY COUNTRY and below is the Arabic inscription LEBANON, with a laurel border, the reverse is plain, ring suspension, on a red and white striped ribbon with two prongs.

History


The Medal for the War Wounded was established on June 2, 1948 and modified by Legislative Decree No. 13297 on October 4, 1948. The Bronze Decoration is awarded to members of the Lebanese Armed Forces who were wounded in action.
