A circular gilded medal, the obverse bears the image of a helmet with a cedar tree in the center, below is a soldier kneeling with a rifle and to the right of the soldier is a map of Lebanon, above in a banner is the Arabic inscription MEDAL IN THE FIGHT AGAINST TERRORISM, and at the bottom is an open ended laurel wreath encompassing the soldier and map of Lebanon, the reverse bears the Arabic inscription WE DIE FOR LEBANON TO LIVE, with a ring suspension, on a deep red and blue striped ribbon, measuring 36mm in diameter.
The Medal in the Fight Against Terrorism was instituted on August 2, 2012. It was awarded to all military personnel in the Military of Defence, who were in active service between May 20 2007 and September 2 2007 and military personnel wounded or killed in hostilities.
