A circular bronze medal, the obverse bears the image of two Lebanese soldiers holding the same rifle, with a laurel branch to the left and right of the soldiers, the bottom consists of a banner with the Arabic inscription UNITY HONOUR HOME, the reverse bears the Arabic inscription NATIONAL UNITY OCTOBER 1990, ring suspension on a red and white striped ribbon, measuring 40mm in diameter.
The Medal of National Unity was established by Decree 3643 on June 16, 1993. The Medal is issued to all members of the Lebanese Armed Forces in recognition of service provided between October 13 and October 31, 1990. The Medal may also be awarded in commemoration of subsequent military campaigns.
