Abu Dhabi Union Defence Forces Loyal Service Medal
Estimated market value:
The Abu Dhabi Union Defence Forces Loyal Service Medal was instituted by Abu Dhabi in 1969. The Medal was originally entitled the Trucial Oman Scouts Loyal Service Medal but was renamed when the Trucial Oman Scouts became the Union Defence Force in 1971 following the formation of the United Arab Emirates. It is uncertain if the Medal is officially authorized by the United Arab Emirates. Additional research is necessary. The Medal is awarded in recognition of 8 years of service. The Medal may be related to the Faithful Service Medal (see ARE111).
A rosette is authorized for attachment to the ribbon to denote an additional 12 years of a service, and a clasp is authorized for wear on the ribbon to denote 16 years of service.
