History

The Electricity Commission Medal (Bronze) is conferred upon members of Papua New Guinea's electricity commission in recognition of 10 years of service.

There are two versions of the Bronze Medal. The first was instituted prior to 1973, and features the inscriptions, "PAPUA AND NEW GUINEA ELECTRICITY COMMISSION" and "FOR 10 YEARS SERVICE."

The second version was instituted during the establishment of the internal self-governance of Papua New Guinea, in 1973. It features the change in the inscription to, "PAPUA NEW GUINEA ELECTRICITY COMMISSION".

The medal was made obsolete in 1981.
