The Jubilee Medal for 300 Years of the Russian Navy was established on February 10, 1996, by Presidential Decree № 176.

This medal was conferred upon Navy veterans of WWII, navy personnel who have previously received a state award, and Navy personnel who have served for at least 20 years. It was discontinued on September 7, 2010.

The obverse Russian inscription translates to: "300 Years of the Russian Navy". The reverse is dated "1696-1996".
