Accompanied by the star of the order, consisting of a ten armed silver star with clusters of five rays in each quadrant, obverse centre presenting Royal cypher of Muhammad VI al-Habib on green enamel background, reverse with dual stays and principle pin assembly, hallmarked on pin and catch with boars head denoting French small silver guarantee post 1838, measuring 81 mm (w) x 84 mm (h), near extremely fine.
This Order was conferred upon Lieutenant-General or above. It may have been awarded for gallantry.
This Order was initially awarded in a single class instituted by Mustafa Pasha Bey in 1835. In 1843, it was reorganized by Ahmad Pasha Bey, and expanded in 1847. Finally, it was reorganized by Muhammad as-Sadiq Pasha Bey in 1861.
