History

The Rajapriya Decoration, or "Dear to his Highness" title badge was founded by Maharaja Sayajirao III in 1922 as the one out of three title decorations. The Rajapriya Decoration ranks below the Rajamitra Decoration. The Decoration was made obsolete in 1956.

The Rajapriya Decoration is worn from a neck ribbon.

There may be an additional version of the Decoration which varies by design which was instituted following Sir Pratap Singh's accession to the throne.
