History

The Girraj Order was founded by Maharaja Kishan Singhji in 1925 as a military decoration. The Order was conferred in 2 Classes to Military Officers in recognition of distinguished and meritorious service. Foreign British citizens have been known to also have received the II Class award. It is thought by some scholars that the Girrah Order is similar in function to the Order of British India.

Recipients of the II Class are also entitled to use the formal title "Raj Bakht", and are also granted monetary allowance.

The II Class is composed of silver.

The obverse features a Hindi motto which translates to "People's Power is Raja's Power and is Worthy of Admiration."

The design of the Order is uncertain as no examples have been found. There is limited information regarding this item.
