History

The Good Service Medal was instituted by Maharaja Raol Shri Sir Takhsinhji. The Medal was awarded in 3 Classes to recognize distinguished services provided to the state. Personal services rendered to the sovereign is also eligible for the award.

The II Class is composed of silver.

The Medal features an engraving of the recipient's name on the reverse.
