History

The Shaktimat Order of Jhalavada was founded by His Majesty Maharaja Raj Sahib Siraj Sir Meghrajii Drangadhra Muyurdhwajsinhji Gandshyamsinhji Maharaja of Drangadhra, the ruler of the Principality of Drangadhra, in 1942. The Order is conferred in 6 Classes to citizens of Dhrangadra, however, some sources posit that the Order is only awarded in 3 Classes.

The III Class Commander is worn from a Breast Ribbon.

The obverse features Devanagari script which translates to "By the Grace of God." The reverse features a Devanagari inscription which translates to “The Makhavana [Sacrifice, the name of the royal crown] being Samkarah [Siva, beneficent, propitious] His Suvarnam [repute, good name, nature, good clan] is ever Subham [shining, Auspicious, Fortunate]" as well as an English inscription which reads "THE SHAKTIMAT ORDER OF JHALAVADA."

There may be an additional version of the III Class Decoration with varies by composition.
