This medal was conferred in recognition of notable and meritorious service to the State. It was awarded to other ranks of the State Forces or the State Police. It became obsolete in 1950.

This medal features a crossed sword and lance on the obverse, and a horse and "Nandi" sacred bull on the reverse.

The obverse Sanskrit inscription translates to "Do your best and trust in Providence". The reverse features the maker's mark "SPINK LONDON".
