Physical Description and Item Details


Instituted in 1936. In silver with red, white, blue, black and yellow enamels, measuring 40.2 mm (w) x 51 mm (h) inclusive of its ornate suspension, intact enamels, original ribbon with hook and eye, extremely fine.

History


This Order was established by Emperor Kang Teh of Manchuria. It is considered similar to the Japanese Order of the Sacred Treasure (see JPN104).

This is the only Order in existence that uses clasps to distinguish the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th classes. The VI Class Badge has 3 silver gilt and enamelled clasps measuring 37x6mm attached to the ribbon

The reverse features Japanese characters.
