History

This medal was conferred upon Laotian and French military personnel in recognition of service against Japan during WWII.

There were approximately 400 of these medals manufactured.

The obverse features an inscription in French and in Lao script. The Lao script translates to "Resistance against the Enemy of Laos 10th March 1945 - 29th August 1945". The reverse may be engraved with the recipients name.
